Personal Protection Equipment (PPE)

When entering a musty-smelling bathroom or a bathroom that contains extensive, visible mold growth, wear the following:

  1. A half-face respirator (or full-face respirator if you have a beard)
  2. Safety gloves
  3. Safety goggles
  4. Safety protective coveralls with a hood
  5. Booties over your shoes, or shoes or boots you leave outside and clean before wearing back into habitable spaces.

If you have long hair, tie it back. Take your coveralls, as well as shoes, boots or booties, off outside the house as soon as possible and before removing your respirator. Clean your clothing before wearing again.
